Pointe Technique for Intermediate 

Overview

Our Saturday Pointe Technique class for intermediate dancers is designed to advance technical proficiency, enhance strength and control, and broaden the range of movements both at the barre and in the center.

This 90-minute session offers a dynamic combination of focused technical training and the excitement of learning more sophisticated choreography.

What to expect

• Progressive Technical Refinement: Advanced exercises target the refinement of pointe technique, building on foundational skills to develop greater precision, articulation, and control.

• Strength & Endurance Training: Challenging combinations are introduced to increase stamina and muscular strength, supporting more complex movement sequences and longer center work.

• Expanded Repertoire: Dancers explore a wider variety of steps, including turns, petit allegro, and intermediate-level enchaînements, both at the barre and in the center.

• Advanced Alignment & Artistry: Emphasis is placed on achieving optimal alignment and integrating expressive artistry into movement, encouraging dancers to develop their individual style and stage presence.

• Pointe Shoe Mastery: Guidance extends to advanced pointe shoe care, customisation, and troubleshooting, ensuring shoes support evolving technical demands.

• Performance Readiness: Dancers work on longer and more intricate choreographic phrases, preparing them for performance opportunities and fostering confidence in their abilities.

Kind reminder​​

Parents are kindly reminded to provide their children with adequate food and water to keep them energised throughout the session. Students should arrive dressed in the appropriate attire for their class, with hair neatly tied in a bun, ready to begin on time. Proper preparation ensures a smooth and focused learning experience for everyone.​
